A day in the life of a cookie...

Just another day living in a cookie world

Thursday, June 15, 2006

I have so much to say this morning and to talk about, but I can't. If anyone is out there reading this today I'm asking you to please please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers this weekend. Without saying to much this morning, my family is going through a very tough, life changing decision and only have three days to make it.
You know I've heard it a million times, that "God dosen't give you anything you can't handle" and that God leads your life through different paths...but as of late, I'm wondering how true that really is. IS it really God leading you, or is it that someone higher up in the organization that has called you? And then what about the family? Do you put that phone call above them? Do you decide to go and leave behind the lives of your children, your grandchildren, because you can't have it both. Do you sacrifice the relationship of your family, the relationship they have with one another? Do you take the chance on missing out on the next three years of thier lives, missing out on Weddings, on Births, on Christmas' on the every day important part of our lives. Yeah we're grown, we're all living our own lives in our own cities, but we still need our mom and dad. We may not always say it, we may not always admit it to ourselves even, but we're still very much your children and we still very much need our mom and dad. I'm not wanting to sound selfish, but I still need my mom and dad.

Truth is it's not my choice to make, and God knows I've made many choices that certainly weren't great, and choices that aren't approved of, and this one is yours to make. Just know that regardless of the one you make, we love you. We will always love you. We just want to love you closer then from half way around the world, in person, not through a computer monitor or a telephone.

K Laurie I feel that mom and dad have to make thier own choices and we need to support them. you know that one day they are going to go far so start preparing for it knnow. They love us wit their whole hear and if they feel within their heart that they need to go oit will be God calling them not the Sally. We just have to support them on a mikssion that is long deserved and God is preparing them and us to except that now! If you are not willing to except it than there's a lot more going on that you are strogling with. Mom and dad love us and would always thinbk of us before anything.
They will coe back for inportant events that's why they have asked to go someonewhere where they can.
Just love them and let them go do a dream, when they get a chance again, that God is preparing them for.

I never said that they didn't love us, or that we them. I just simply mean that they'll be missed, every day not just important days.
