Well it was a very very busy weekend this past weekend...
Friday night we had the surprise Stag and Doe for Matt and Tanya which went really well. It was a great night of partying and celebration. Tanya's family was all down from Ottawa which made her extreamly happy. It was a great time, but a late night!
Saturday Scott and I decided to take it easy and relax a little at home, I went St. Jacobs market in the morning to buy some fruit and other groceries. I love the market!!! I decided to make some jam so I bought a large flat of strawberries...and of course I had bought to many so I still have a ton of strawberries, even after making four batches of jam (20 jars) and giving my mom half a flat and four jars.... So if anyone out there wants some homemade jam let me know I've got tons!!! But it's all strawberry! I'l l make the raspberry in July!
Saturday night we watched a movie at home on our new 52" tv..so cool... The hill's have eyes...what a freaky movie. Good but freaky. Makes me second think camping let me tell you that....Our trip to Algonquin with Matt and Tanya in a few weeks will be quite interesting now.. I must have them watch that movie before we go!
Sunday I went home for the day to be with my father on fathers day. My big bro Tim was home for the day as well. My dad's brothers and thier families were there as well. It was really nice to spend some time with them as it's been awhile since I last saw them. The kids (my cousins) are growing up so fast!! Hardly recongized them. I got to spend some time with my Aunt Deb chatting after lunch on the way back to my parents which was nice. I don't know the last time we ever talked for five minutes or if we ever have. It was nice to have a chance to spend some one on one time with her.
For those of you wondering, my parents have decided NOT to take the transfer to Australia. They don't feel it is the right time to make such a drastic move and don't feel as though they are being called there at this particular time in thier minsitry. So thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
When I got home (to my home I know confusing Home will always be where ever Mom and Dad are, but it's also Ottawa and of course where I actually live Kitchener) So when I got home to MY home, I did some laundry and made another batch of jam. Joel one of Scott's good friends was over to watch some TV and look at pictures. I spent some time cleaning and tiding up a little, before heading out to relax on the hammock which Scott so sweetly put up much higher then it was, which was fine.
However he decided that he wanted to lay with me and well although the hammock was strong enough, the rope it was tied to the tree with was not...yep you guessed it...it broke and I fell hitting the ground below HARD. So I'm in quite a bit of pain today, I went the clinic this morning -since I still have no family doctor, and I have some serious internal bruising, and outer bruising for that matter. NOT FUN!! I am very stiff, very sore and it sucks!
Then to top it all off today when I finally got into work I sliced my finger pretty good on the scissors while opening mail. LOTS OF FUN my week has started out fantastikly!
Anyway that's all for this addition... hope everyone had a great weekend the weather was beautiful! Talk to you all soon!
